January, 2014 Anthony O. Kellum founded what was previously known as Kellum Mortgage; an illustrious mortgage company funding over $500M in real estate acquisitions. Having rehabilitated and finance numerous homes within the metropolitan Detroit area, Kellum expanded his experience and ventured into the realm of multimedia marketing which included hosting a television series called “Real Estate to Go.”
He is also the author of “Property Is Power” and “Everything You Wanted to Know about Mortgages.” More recently Kellum; is President of Kellum Capital Group, LLC charged with originating and executing third party commercial real estate and finance transactions. A boutique private equity and structured finance shop that did over $175million of commercial real estate and related debt transactions.
Kellum was responsible for the underwriting, structuring and execution of transactions, including syndicated loans, distressed debt, acquisitions and pre-development, commercial finance, and disposition of residential properties, for international and institutional investors. Kellum has played a key role in several “up and coming” real estate opportunities in and around Metropolitan, Detroit.
This includes Capitol Park, Broderick Tower, David Whitney Building, Capri Manor, and Amercenters Kellum’s long term commitment to excellence has awarded him Crain’s Detroit Business “Top 40 Under 40”; President of the Michigan Mortgage Brokers Association; as well as, “Mortgage Broker of the Year” and a “Special Tribute” Award from the 14th District, State of Michigan.
In addition, Kellum has been recognized for his philanthropic contributions including but not limited to “Kellum Home for the Holidays ~ house giveaways” and the joint ventures serving under-privileged families securing solid home ownership.
