 TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® hope to surpass the statewide goal of over 28,000lbs. Of non-perishable goods to re-stock local pantries and the Food Bank Council of Michigan in preparation for winter.

The need this is greater than ever and with the whole support of the Kalamazoo community it can be the best year ever.

The Food Bank Council of Michigan, the number of families classified as "food insecure" makes up 13 percent of Michigan households. "Food insecure" families are classified by the United States Department of Agriculture as having difficulty consistently getting the food they need for an active and healthy life.

The Kalamazoo TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, located at 3410 E. Cork St., Kalamazoo is acting as the drop-off location for all donations for the Kalamazoo area.

Movers for Meals will run Monday, Sept. 10 through Nov. 16 — the Friday before Thanksgiving.

Anyone interested in supporting the food drive can drop off non-perishable food donations at participating TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations in Michigan.

Organizations interested in supporting Movers for Meals as a collection site will be supplied with free donation boxes and donation delivery to Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
