TWO MEN AND A TRUCK(R) of Fraser Movers for Meals Program is Totally Committed to Making the Food Bank Council of Michigan 2012’s Food Drive An Overwhelming Success!

The Fraser TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®, located at 34113 Doreka Dr., is collecting donations for Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan.

 

Fraser,Michigan-- By partnering with organizations throughout the community including Prevail Charter Academy, Reach Charter Academy and WXYT.
With the support of the Fraser Community this Year's Food Bank Drive will exceed the statewide goal of over 28,000 pounds of non-perishable goods to supply Michigan's local food banks.
According to national statistics the number of families classified as "food insecure" makes up 13 percent of Michigan households. "Food insecure" families are classified by the United States Department of Agriculture as having difficulty consistently getting the food they need for an active and healthy life.

This community drive will insure that those less fortunate will be taken care of, as Kareemah El-Amin, Executive Director of Food Bank Council of Michigan stated:
"Movers for Meals will significantly help stock our food banks' shelves leading up to a busy and crucial winter season. We couldn't meet the thousands of families' needs without the support of community-minded companies like TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® helping support local families in crisis."

Movers for Meals will run Monday, Sept. 10 through Nov. 16 — the Friday before Thanksgiving. Anyone interested in supporting the food drive can drop off non-perishable food donations at participating TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations in Michigan.

Organizations interested in supporting Movers for Meals as a collection site will be supplied with free donation boxes and donation delivery to Gleaners Community Food Bank.
