Housing Values Are Still Falling,
Are Your Property Taxes Keeping Pace?
REIA of Oakland invites you to attend our January 12, 2012 monthly meeting to learn from an expert whether you should fight your tax assessment and how.
Their featured speaker is Mark Avery with the Constitutional Taxation Institute.
Mark Avery has been a respected Real Estate Professional in Michigan since 2005 and speaks at over 50 events each year at the request of State Senators, State Representatives and County Commissioners about the Property Tax Issues in Michigan. His desire to assist property owners in their effort to legally fight for their taxation rights prompted Mark to start OverTaxedProperty.com and the Constitutional Taxation Institute in 2008 of which he is the Director. Mark has won 95 percent of his tax tribunals this year causing cities to refund checks to his customers for over $500,000.
Mark Avery is a native to southeast Michigan and has deep family roots here in the state. He was an Academic All-American at Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Mark played baseball professionally from 1994 to 1996. His passion for baseball and commitment to helping kids reach their goals led him to found and direct the Avery's All Star Baseball Camp, in its 20th year of successful operation. We look forward to you joining us to start off the new year with a bang!
